New venture soon! Quiting the Full Time job.

Yep! As the title says, I will be pushing a new venture into my eBay sales so as to make it a full time job. I had planned on doing so a couple years back when I created this blog, but the job I am currently working happened. It was a great thing in the beginning. I was hired to do some remodeling work on a part time basis, then it became a full time job. It then got quite a bit better when I was asked to work in a Machine Shop. This was supposed to have become a permanent job until one day I broke my pinky finger. Then I was a liability. Not sure why that is! but, now that that has been thrown away, I have decided to get myself back to where I wanted to be prior to getting that job.

So now I need to get things going to get the first push into getting all of the things I've bought over the past 3-4 years listed and for sale in my eBay store. All I can say is that it is going to be a rather large struggle to get it started. WHY? Well I have bought so much merchandise that I could stop buying and probably not get everything listed by the end of 2016. Just this week alone I've bought a decent amount. But starting tomorrow I will be getting a start on it. Going to get things photographed as well as get some drafts of the items I need to get started with. So until I return with what I have posted, I hope this short write up didn't bore you. Thank You for reading!

Prestige DVD - Buy Cheap or Free Items are worth it

I know this wasn't a big sale, but if you know of anyone that is just wanting to get rid of their DVD's for cheap, or for free, then it can be to your benefit to grab them and list them. I got this one for free along with some other DVD's that my mother-in-law had decided she didn't want any more. So I grabbed some of them and listed them. It's money! and it's more Feedback to bring my numbers up. So don't be afraid to sell anything for under ten dollars. Anything helps your feedback.

Hot Wheels Speed Machines Audi Ferrari Error

One of the many things I have collected since getting hooked on diecast back in 1996 was a lot of the Ferrari Marque. I have been a Ferrari fan since I was a kid. Thanks to cool shows, well they were cool then anyways, such as Magnum P.I. and Miami Vice, I was in love with the marque, Still to this day I want to own one. Who knows if and when that will actually happen. But I am here to talk about my eBay sales. I found two of these Speed Machines series Hot Wheels errors at a local Toys R Us and obviously had to have them for my collection. This is an '09 Audi TTS on the Ferrari California card. I had to have it! But as I have written on a few other posts, it's time to move on to other things. So I sold one of these well over a year ago, and this was sitting for the longest time. Well it finally sold. No matter how long you have something listed on eBay, you never know who is going to someday buy it. So, with me having the eBay Store, I can let it sit until that day comes.

Wake Up Grumpy Jumbo Coffee Mug

This was a perfect and easy sale. I had sold a few mugs in the past, and I know how crazy Disney fanatics can be. But there is a certain liking to the Grumpy character from Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs. People love him! Why? Because they can all relate to him. We all know we are Grumpy and irritated when we wake up in the morning. And almost everyone needs to wake up with a cup of some sort of coffee. So When I came across this "Wake Up Grumpy" mug at a thrift store, I knew it was a sure sale. I know this because my father-in-law has or had this same mug. So I listed it and in no time at all it sold. Now to get more mugs listed and sold.

Paid about $2. Offered at $44.95. SOLD for $30.95

Hot Wheels Oil Can Orange 1948 Ford Woody

Since I have a lot of Hot Wheels that I have collected over the years, I had decided to sell the collection off a little at a time. Since Woody Wagons are one of my all time favorite automobiles, it was a little hard to sell this off. I have a few more that are for sale or have sold already. But the money at this point is more important than having these sitting in a box being stored away. So they need to go to someone that will appreciate them more than I did. So, Even though I offer Free Shipping to about 99% of my listings, I was happy to recover some money. Funny thing is, I bought this wholesale when I had my Automobilia Brick & Mortar business almost ten years ago. So I may have made a little bit of a profit.

Hot Wheels Criss Cross Crash Set Pieces

One of the things I have sold off and on for years on eBay is Hot Wheels. Sometimes I just go through the store pegs to find the error cars, but sometimes I buy stuff for myself. Well this wasn't one of those times. One day while thrifting, I came across this set. I normally find them there, but the usually want waaaay too much for them. But this time, the set was marked at $4. It was new, but opened. I knew it was new based on the price writing they used to mark it. This specific thrift store get a lot of new, unsold or damaged goods from a chain retain company, and that is how I know where it's from. Anyways, I did a quick research and noticed the best way to get an awesome return on investment was to break this set up and sell the parts. So that is exactly what I did. Here are the pictures of the parts that I did remember to keep photos of. The Track Supports were the first to sell, but because I just wasn't thinking before they dropped off the SOLD items list on my eBay, I don't have a pic to show. Included in the photos is a screen capture of what the item did sell for as well. Thanks for checking out my blog. Ferrari F93A 1:18 Minichamps Paul's Model Art

As much as it hurts me to post about this, it hurts more that I actually sold it. I have had this in my Ferrari Collection for a very long time. So why did I sell it? Well when my collection is sitting in boxes, and has been for more than 10 years, it's time to go. Not really for the fact that it's been sitting in a box, out of site, but more for the fact that I am working towards a new career. A career that I have actually been going to school for since Fall 2010. I am selling to put the money towards items and supplies for this semester in my Independent Study class where I have been buying items and restoring them to sell for more items to buy and restore. Specifically more to restore and customize. I am working towards getting more skills in the Auto Body and Paint trade. What I have been buying and restoring to sell is old vintage items that are just too cool to let sit in someones house as a "shabby shic" item. I prefer the clean and cool look over the cluttered and distressed look myself. So I would rather bring the life back to these vintage items and make them beautiful. So with that said, now you know why I sold this very cool, kind of hard to find collectible 1:18 scale Ferrari F93A Formula 1 car. Hopefully it went to a good home, and the money is going to a good cause. My cause for a new career goal that is soon to begin. Thanks for reading, whomever that one person is.

Here are the photos I pulled from my eBay listing -
