Hot Wheels Criss Cross Crash Set Pieces
One of the things I have sold off and on for years on eBay is Hot Wheels. Sometimes I just go through the store pegs to find the error cars, but sometimes I buy stuff for myself. Well this wasn't one of those times. One day while thrifting, I came across this set. I normally find them there, but the usually want waaaay too much for them. But this time, the set was marked at $4. It was new, but opened. I knew it was new based on the price writing they used to mark it. This specific thrift store get a lot of new, unsold or damaged goods from a chain retain company, and that is how I know where it's from. Anyways, I did a quick research and noticed the best way to get an awesome return on investment was to break this set up and sell the parts. So that is exactly what I did. Here are the pictures of the parts that I did remember to keep photos of. The Track Supports were the first to sell, but because I just wasn't thinking before they dropped off the SOLD items list on my eBay, I don't have a pic to show. Included in the photos is a screen capture of what the item did sell for as well. Thanks for checking out my blog. Ferrari F93A 1:18 Minichamps Paul's Model Art
As much as it hurts me to post about this, it hurts more that I actually sold it. I have had this in my Ferrari Collection for a very long time. So why did I sell it? Well when my collection is sitting in boxes, and has been for more than 10 years, it's time to go. Not really for the fact that it's been sitting in a box, out of site, but more for the fact that I am working towards a new career. A career that I have actually been going to school for since Fall 2010. I am selling to put the money towards items and supplies for this semester in my Independent Study class where I have been buying items and restoring them to sell for more items to buy and restore. Specifically more to restore and customize. I am working towards getting more skills in the Auto Body and Paint trade. What I have been buying and restoring to sell is old vintage items that are just too cool to let sit in someones house as a "shabby shic" item. I prefer the clean and cool look over the cluttered and distressed look myself. So I would rather bring the life back to these vintage items and make them beautiful. So with that said, now you know why I sold this very cool, kind of hard to find collectible 1:18 scale Ferrari F93A Formula 1 car. Hopefully it went to a good home, and the money is going to a good cause. My cause for a new career goal that is soon to begin. Thanks for reading, whomever that one person is.

The truth behind this blog!
Well what is the truth behind this blog? I have been selling on eBay for years. It started a s a way for me to sell items I would find to reinvest into my vinyl collecting habit. That ended several years ago as during a move my turntable got smashed up. So I off loaded my expensive collection for pennies just so I wouldn't have to move it all again. I had close to 2000 Full length albums and singles. However, I did keep my 7" single collection. It is still packed away, and occasionally I'll find another one, or a hundred to buy and pick through for myself. The rest I sell off. But, that's not the whole truth.
The truth about why I sell now on eBay is to get me through college. I, at the time I registered for college was 37. I got tired of working retail, and was kind of given a little bit of a push by a Hollywood movie car guy when he had come into a store I was working at in San Francisco. During our conversation I had mentioned that I was thinking about going back to school. He asked me, "What do you want to go back to school for". At least that's the question I for some reason remember being asked anyways. So I replied, "I want to build Custom Cars. And before I could continue, he stopped me, well kind of, mid sentence and said, "You need to stop thinking about it, and just do it!" And that week I was enrolled. All I needed was a little push.
But now that I am close to being done with what I went back to school for, I am trying to keep myself going so I can find the right job. But you may be asking, What did you back to school for? What classes did this guy take? Well I went back for the Auto Body Collision Repair courses, as well as Automotive Refinishing. I took a break from the Fall semester last year (2012) as I had gotten a job at a local body shop. I was grateful for getting the job, but it was one of those that just throw him out there and sink or swim kind of jobs. After the first of the year, I was laid off for a reason I was sure was a load of, well possibly a load of, well, CRAP! So I went back to school and took the Welding courses. And now I am almost done with those. So eBay had been how I would pay for these classes, and it's been keeping me going. I haven't really been pushing myself with eBay too much. It's been just enough to get by. But now with me having a lot more things that I had, and have bought with some of the money I made, I re-invested in to a lot more over time. Well now it all needs to be getting cleared out. I need to put my money into other things. I have tools to buy, so I can have them for whatever job I hope to land, as well to put the money into my truck that I plan to do a full custom build with. So, now that I have told the truth about what this blog is for, please share what I post on it as it will mpstly be of the items I am selling in my eBay store. THANKS FOR READING!
